Sherry Cask Finished
Swilled Dog Sherry Cask Finished Bourbon is aged for 4 years in American white oak barrels and bottled at barrel strength to show off the whiskey’s full flavor profile. The raisin, floral, and fruit qualities derived from the sherry casks are balanced with the bourbon’s complex earthy and ripe cherry undertones.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE: Dark brown sugar, caramel, and honey emerge first. Fig, dates, and dried raisin all over with a nice touch of oak. Roasted nuts and dark chocolate.
PALATE: Complex with a distinct dryness from the sherry with raisin and ripe fruit. Hazelnut, caramel, and marzipan with vanilla flavors.
FINISH: Smooth with a medium to long, slightly floral and oak finish. A good amount of sweet character lingers for a strong and rich finish.
