Brooke Glover

CEO & Co-Founder

In 2016, Brooke co-founded Swilled Dog to handcraft delicious cider for consumers in West Virginia and beyond. Today she is the CEO of the fastest growing craft beverage brand in West Virginia. 

Brooke serves as the Vice President of the American Cider Association and was recently elected to another term on the ACA Board. She sits on both the Legislative and Data Insights committees and is an active proponent for the interests of craft cideries in the US and abroad, including lobbying for the passage of the Craft Beverage Modernization Act. She also serves on the Craft Advisory Council at DISCUS. Brooke is a certified cider maker through the Cider Institute of North America (CINA), and a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level I in Spirits. Brooke has been featured on CNBC, Fox Business News, Authority Magazine and as a speaker at WVU.

Before founding Swilled Dog, Brooke spent seven years as the director of sales and marketing as well as director of operations for an IT consulting group. She started her career in commercial lending and private wealth management.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from West Virginia University. Brooke and her husband Brad have three kids and share their home with their first family member and the face of Swilled Dog, Lucy Pickles.

Kim Kirk

Director of Marketing

 

Kim Kirk is the Director of Marketing at Swilled Dog, overseeing the company's branding, marketing, and charitable giving efforts. With a background in nonprofit marketing, Kim brings over 10 years of experience to her role, having previously served as the Director of Marketing for Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance and Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce. Her passion for working with entrepreneurs to promote their businesses is what attracted Kim to Swilled Dog.

Kim graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in corporate communication and West Virginia University with a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications. Kim is also a Level 1 certified cider professional with the American Cider Association and was recently named to the 2022 West Virginia State's Journal Generation Next: 40 under 40 List. 

Kim lives in Pendleton County, West Virginia with her husband, three children and golden retriever Zoey.

Bryan Simmons

Distiller

Bryan started his journey with Swilled Dog in the cider department, initially working part-time before fully immersing himself in the company. His passion and dedication led him to transition into spirits operations, where he now plays a pivotal role. Trained in the Netherlands to master the art of distillation, Bryan expertly crafts bourbon and gin, overseeing the entire process from liquid to bottle, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Steve Czarnik

Cider Maker

Steve came to Swilled Dog with a keen interest in learning the craft of cider-making. He quickly developed his skills, mastering the art of fermentation through hands-on training and dedication. Steve's attention to detail and passion for the process have made him a key player in the production team. His favorite part of the job is witnessing the culmination of his efforts when the final product is canned and bottled, knowing that all the flavors have come together perfectly. The reward for Steve is in every sip of the cider he helps create.

Allie Gregory

Tasting Room Coordinator

Allie started with Swilled Dog as a part-time server, where she quickly discovered her love for the brand's mission. This passion led her to transition into a full-time role in the tasting room, where she now serves as the Tasting Room Coordinator. Allie ensures that every visitor has an exceptional experience, sharing the story of Swilled Dog, its products, and the beauty of West Virginia. Her creative vision shines through in the development of new cocktails and menu items, reflecting her commitment to quality and innovation. One of her favorite aspects of the job is meeting the many dogs that visit, knowing that Swilled Dog’s mission includes supporting dogs in need. She also enjoys collaborating with Steve and Bryan in production, gaining hands-on experience in the meticulous craft that goes into every Swilled Dog product.

David Malecki

Marketing Assistant

David joined Swilled Dog in May of 2024, bringing a fresh perspective and a passion for creative storytelling. A graduate of West Virginia University, David holds a B.S. in Advertising, and a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications. His journey with Swilled Dog began during his capstone project, where he crafted an advertising campaign for Swilled Dog and other local West Virginia businesses. During his time at WVU, David honed his skills in marketing photography, discovering a love for visual storytelling. Today, he channels that passion into showcasing the latest and greatest from Swilled Dog. For David, the thrill of sharing what’s new with our loyal fans is what makes every day at Swilled Dog truly exciting.
