National Mint Julep Day is here, and we’ve got the perfect recipe to celebrate! This refreshing classic is just what you need to kick back and enjoy a warm spring day. Let’s make a Mint Julep using our delicious Swilled Dog Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon.


  • 2 oz Swilled Dog Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • Fresh Mint Leaves
  • Crushed Ice
  • Mint Sprig for Garnish


  1. Muddle the Mint: In a julep cup or a rocks glass, gently muddle a few fresh mint leaves with the simple syrup. This will bring out the mint’s wonderful aroma and it’s the key the perfect cocktail.
