Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Double Oaked (FOH)

58.5% Acl/vol | 117 proof

  • 75% Corn
  •  | 21% Rye
  •  | 4% Malted Barley

In honor of Friends of the Heights, this exclusive Double Oaked Bourbon is a finely crafted expression, perfect for supporters of Boston College’s student-athletes. After its initial aging of 4.5 years, the bourbon is re-casked into white oak barrels, where it matures for another year, enhancing its complexity and deepening its rich character.

The result is a bourbon with complex nose of toasted oak and a lush and creamy palate featuring flavors of butterscotch, brown sugar, and toasted pecans. Thoughtfully crafted, carefully aged, and ready to raise a glass to the heights these student-athletes can achieve.

Tasting Notes

COLOR: A deep amber with mahogany undertones, enhanced by the second oak barrel’s influence. Its rich, darker hue hints at the whiskey’s depth, while its viscous appearance clings to the glass, promising a full-bodied experience.

NOSE: Warm and inviting, with a captivating complexity. Toasted oak takes center stage, layered with aromas of caramelized sugar, vanilla bean, and baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Nuances of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and dried cherries add a luxurious depth to the bouquet.

PALATE: Lush and creamy with a velvety texture. Flavors of butterscotch and brown sugar unfold first, followed by a wave of toasted pecans. The second barrel imparts charred oak and dark toffee, balanced by a hint of spiced orange zest. The interplay of sweetness and a gentle peppery heat creates a harmonious structure.

FINISH: Long and satisfying, with a warmth that lingers. Notes of caramelized oak, dark chocolate, and vanilla gradually give way to soft spices. A whisper of smokiness and dried fruit carries through, leaving a refined, slightly dry finish with a delicate touch of sweetness.
