Snow Globe Gin and Tonic - A Magical Holiday Twist on the Classic

Recipes Spirits

When winter calls for something refreshing and seasonal, this Snow Globe Gin & Tonic delivers. It’s bright, botanical, visually stunning, and surprisingly simple to make — the perfect show-stopping cocktail for holiday gatherings or cozy nights in.

This recipe uses our Mon Forest Reserve Dry Gin, crafted in the mountains of West Virginia with a clean, crisp blend of botanicals that shine beautifully in a tonic-based cocktail. Paired with a homemade frozen garnish of rosemary and cranberries, it turns every pour into a swirling winter scene.

The Snow Globe Technique

The secret lies in preparing your “snow globe” the night before:

  1. Place a rosemary sprig standing upright in the center of a rocks glass. Use a small rope and tape to ensure it is tied in the center, upright.
  2. Add a handful of fresh cranberries.
  3. Pour in just enough water to cover the bottom third of the glass.
  4. Freeze overnight.

By the next day, you’ve got a stunning frozen base that looks straight out of a holiday display — and becomes the centerpiece of your cocktail.

How to Build the Cocktail

Once your frozen base is ready, the magic happens fast:

  • Add 1.5 oz Mon Forest Reserve Dry Gin
  • Add .5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Top with tonic water
  • Watch the carbonation swirl around the frozen cranberries and rosemary like a tiny snow globe in motion.

Every sip brings out crisp botanicals, bright citrus, and holiday aromatics — a perfect blend of winter freshness.
